Hi :) I'm 15 and I really want to start to cheer! But I see all these girls that start cheering when they're little kids and I have no experience :( I don't expect to be a cheerlebrity or anything I just want to be decent on my high school cheer team :/ do I even have a chance if I work really hard? If so, where do I even start? :( thanks anyway I love your blog! ❤️

Thanks! Yes of course you do. I started cheerleading at 16 and I was pretty good at it. Just work hard and you’ll be fine :) You can start by taking a few tumbling classes and conditioning (check fortheloveoftumbling.com for exercises).

Hardwork, dedication, and perseverance. It sucks to lose your skills, but the only way you can get them back is by working hard and doing whatever you did before. Don’t worry I believe in you :)

Hey I'm trying out for my schools winter cheer team. And I'm pretty flexible but I need help on needle and back handspring... Any tips?

Hi! Look for the Gabi Butler stretching video for stretching tips. I also recommend door stretches (30 sec each leg) and pulling needles/scorpions as many times as you can :)

I'm on an all-star team (this is my first year cheering) and my jumps are pretty bad. do you have any tips on getting better jumps?
A:

Work on your plyo and flexibility. If you go to fortheloveoftumbling.com you can find specific exercises for your jumps. Go through varsity’s instagram too; they have a picture of exercises you can and should do :)
